Connecticut garage/surf rock trio, Dr. Martino are set to unleash a brand new video for their track “Clean Plate Club” and The Metal Dad is very pleased to be offering up the world premiere. The track comes from a recent four-way split, entitled Calligrams that also featured CT acts Spectral Fangs, Terrible Roars, and Ghost of Chance. Dr. Martino play an infectious, and often raucous, brand of garage rock melded with classic surf rock influences. Toss in a little punk and indie rock aesthetics alongside lyrics that aren’t afraid to get a little goofy and what you’ve got is an act that’s as fun as they are rowdy.
As you’ll see, the video is an animated trip through the four food groups, courtesy of artist Bill Dougal. But we’re especially stoked here at The Metal Dad to be premiering this video because it offers a great parental lesson as well: Dear Children, stop complaining and eat the delicious and nutritious food placed in front of you. Maybe one day you too can be part of the Clean Plate Club…
